Why PAC4Life

PAC4Life was birthed out of real life experiences.  From 1997-2003 Rosanne and Wayne Prevett and a handful of amazing people served children and their families in the city of St. Thomas.  Our first experiences started with offering spiritual guidance through teaching a series of biblical values such as kindness, truthfulness, honesty and more.

While teaching and seeking to model these values we came face to face with the realities of the consequences of poverty and limited or fixed incomes.  Soon we started a lunch program that allowed us to serve a nutritious and well balanced lunch.  That lead to offering hats, mitts, coats and other warm clothing items as so many children we were serving did not have them.  It did not take long for us to realize that to serve or prepare a child for a successful life it would take addressing the whole child and seeking to serve all their basic needs.

We soon began to realize that is was not just low income families that needed support it was the "working poor" who were struggling to see their children develop a well rounded growing up experience.  Having our own newborn we became aware of how costly sports memberships were, how tutoring costs were beyond the average family, camp for a week would not be possible for most Canadian families.
